ELI ALPS

ELI-HU Non-Profit Ltd.

ELI-HU Research and Development Non-Profit Ltd. is the company responsible for the implementation and operation of ELI-ALPS, the Hungarian Facility of the Extreme Light Infrastructure. ELI-ALPS (Attosecond Light Pulse Source) is a unique attosecond facility which provides ultrashort light pulses with frequency range between THz (1012 Hz) and X-ray (1018-1019 Hz) with high repetition rate for developers and end-users. Not only the use of novel class, state-of-the-art laser systems, but the combination of those laser pulses with pioneering secondary sources will open up new opportunities in experimental research. These high-end technologies can be useful for many cutting-edge field of science (furthermore to the development of attosecond light source) from biological imaging technologies and medical applications to energy researches, particle acceleration, and high peak power photonics.
